As a teacher first of dance, then aikido, and as a movement therapist spanning over 40 years, I have developed an understanding of how each person needs an individual approach to learning — appreciating how you specifically can acquire the skills to move your body in a healthy and insightful manner. No matter your personal interests, be that to improve your athletic ability or recover from injury or chronic pain, my extensive background can create a program that aims to help you meet your goals.
Megan has been a teacher and student of various movement forms since 1971 and thus has developed an expertise in corrective movement therapy. She holds two degrees in Dance, both in choreography and pedagogy, advanced degrees in martial arts, certification and post-graduate degrees in Laban Movement Analysis, Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis®, and is a registered Somatic Movement Therapist. Her 40+ years of teaching guide her to give you an effective and enjoyable study of your own movement capacity and potential.
